Digital Strategy Intern, U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen

March-May, 2017

As an intern for Senator Chris Van Hollen, I assisted the Senator's office with all digital communications tasks, including videography, photography, and social media engagement. I also conducted research and pulled analytics reports on the Senator's digital engagement strategy.


Public Affairs Intern, U.S. Department of Labor

August-December, 2016

I recently completed an internship at the Department of Labor. I worked in the Office of Public Affairs, where I assisted with engagement, video production, research, and other assignments related to Spanish and English-language digital media channels. 


Digital Team, Tom Perez's DNC Chair Campaign

January-February, 2017

I worked on the digital communications team for Tom Perez's campaign to become chairman of the Democratic National Committee. As part of the digital team I produced videos for the campaign and assisted with other digital engagement activities. Perez was elected DNC chair on February 25th.


News Editor, Pulsefeedz.com

August 2016-Present

After joining as a staff writer my freshman year, I became the news editor for Pulsefeedz.com, an online, student-run publication at the University of Maryland. As news editor, I manage a team of staff writers and ensure that the site is producing quality, newsworthy content on a daily basis. I also cover campus news and write about politics.


Managing Editor-in-Chief, Stories Beneath the Shell

May 2017-Present

I'm the managing editor of Stories Beneath the Shell, an online publication dedicated to covering diverse and underreported stories in the UMD community. I originally joined the staff as a photographer and later became Senior Sports Editor, before being promoted to managing editor in May of 2017. As the managing editor, I lead a staff of 30 writers, copy editors, section editors and photographers and manage all administrative aspects of the publication.


Production Crew Chief, Capital News Service 

May 2017-Present

As one of three crew chiefs, I help manage the production crew of Capital News Service's award-winning cable news show, Maryland Newsline. I have experience as a director, technical director (using a NewTek TriCaster™ 8000), floor director plyback, and audio technician. Maryland Newsline airs live three nights a week.


Volunteer Videographer, Democratic National Convention

During the summer of 2016, I worked as a volunteer videographer at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, where I produced video content for the convention's digital team. I also conducted on-camera interviews of convention attendees, speakers, and delegates for the convention's digital media channels.
